Unscrew the head of the razor from the handle. This will allow the head to come apart in two pieces. Holding the top piece by the sides, place a double sided razor over the blade mounts, then place the bottom piece of the head over the blade mounts. Again, holding the sides of the head, carefully screw the head and handle together & tighten.

Once blade has been applied, you can start the shave. You can shave as you usually would, keeping the skin taught (this is especially important with a safety razor). Then, holding the safety razor at a 30-45 degree angle, proceed to shave allowing the blade and the weight of the razor do the majority of the work for you.
